Sunshine

Blinding
it's hurting my eyes
the sun rays
reaching out and touching me
holding me in their grip
not letting go 'til
sun set
darkness
warmth lingers
then gone
cold dark and starry
give way to the moon
so majestic and bright
like a lantern
lighting up my heart
